Sony announced that the PlayStation 3 has surpassed the milestone of 70 million units sold worldwide. This figure was reached a little more than six years after the console market, November 11, 2006 in Japan.
The company also announced that 15 million PS Move found buyer for the launch of its marketing two years ago. Software side, Sony talks about 3590 different titles available on the console, which equivalent in volume to more than 600 million games sold. The Playstation Network is currently offering 170,000 downloads content catalog including 57,000 games.
Launched a year after the Xbox 360, Sony's console is going to catch up. Last month, Microsoft announced that its console had crossed the threshold of 70 million units sold worldwide.
